Letting go

Reflections on Begin By Letting Go, by Etherwood

Sinking into the darkness only
to be saved by the tinkling tones
flowering among the poetry and
the encroaching hum of strings
before the march of drums
pushes off into the void, stuttering
to a stop at the foot of the bass
come to breathe the final dimension
to life, a landscape painted in stereo
accented by the caress of
a wayward piano billowing out
the sails, but by now I’m lost
in a sea of sound reverberating
into the darkest reaches of me,
and I forget the beginning and wish
only to swim back to shore.
