Being thankful

… for Sunday morning breakfast and your favorite music program to clap along to.

… for the steady march of seasons and the comfort of sunrises and sunsets on a friendly horizon.

… for the woody smell of home on rainy days when the wind grows unkind.

… for your favorite meal with that last seasoning on standby until the table’s been set.

… for Friday and a disregard for the weather forecast; let tomorrow bring what it may.

… for friends and family whose tenderness doesn’t fade over oceans but grows all the more sweet.
