The life of a raindrop

IMG_4268.JPG

There’s a symphony to be heard
in the way the rain falls on leaves,
a mystery to be unravelled
in the way it clings to hope,
fighting against that last drop
into the oblivious wetness
soaking the ground like forgotten tears
from the gray clouds crying above.
Whoever says rainy days hold no beauty
has never traced a raindrop’s soul.
