Fact and fiction

I would see you smile
even as all you thought true
crumbles around you.

+++Does color matter,
+++whether blue sky or green sea,
+++if wonder is feigned?

No, not even truth
holds sway over such beauty
as can be conceived
through a slight hint of madness,
or a touch of fantasy.

+++Take wing with dragons,
+++ride comets toward destiny,
+++live unbound by fact.

+++Glance rarely backward,
+++and then only to witness
+++how high you can fly.

I would see you smile,
for within every fiction
hides a hint of truth.
